Single Targets

Whenever you’re healing a single target, you should also have Power Word: Shield on them, and be using Penance off cooldown. Both of these are very mana efficient in Mists of Pandaria.

Low and moderate damage
Cast your regular Heal if you need the help while Penance is down, and cast Renew if the target has the Weakened Soul debuff or you’re moving. If the target all of a sudden takes a big junk of damage, cast Greater Heal, then go back to your regular Heal to top them off.

High damage
Stop casting Heal, and start casting Greater Heal. Also put Renew on the target.

Emergency Situations
Start Spamming Flash Heal to keep the target up, then switch back to Greater Heal. If you and the target are taking damage, start using your Blinding Heal. This is the only situation where you would use your Flash Heal and Blinding Heal, as they’re both not very mana efficient.

Multiple Targets

Always use Prayer of Mending off cooldown when your healing multiple people.

Low and moderate damage
Cast Prayer of Healing until everyone is topped off.

High Damage
First priority is to start casting Prayer of Healing on all of your healing assignments. This will give them the Divine Aegis buff. If you’re still having trouble, start casting Power Word: Shield on all of the targets that are taking the most damage.

Emergency Situations
Keep spamming Prayer of Healing.
